Lexington Blue along with Louisville Cardinals raise over $5,000 at the John Henry Open Golf Scramble!
We’re excited to share that Lexington Blue, led by our owner Brad Pagel, with the incredible support of the Louisville Cardinals, helped raise over $5,000 at the John Henry Golf Scramble to support the amazing work of The Little Light House Central KY! It was an unforgettable day where fun and philanthropy met on the green to make a real impact for children with special needs.
Since 1972, The Little Light House has provided life-changing care to children with various developmental disabilities, offering essential therapy and education at absolutely no cost to their families. With a nurturing environment focused on love, best-practice therapies, and a unique Bible-based curriculum, this organization has empowered thousands of children to reach their maximum potential. Their mission is simple yet profound: to focus on the whole child, ensuring that each child’s milestones are celebrated, and miracles are made possible every single day. This legacy continues right here in Shelbyville, where Little Light House Central KY welcomes children from surrounding counties, serving as a beacon of hope for families throughout the region.
At the John Henry Golf Scramble, Lexington Blue was proud to not only participate in the event but to also bring in the Louisville Cardinals to add excitement and energy to the cause. The Cardinals, known for their championship spirit on the field, brought that same competitive drive to the course—teaming up with us to raise much-needed funds for this incredible organization. Their presence made the day extra special, drawing attention and support from fans and golf enthusiasts alike.
As the golfers hit the links, the shared commitment to giving back was evident. It wasn’t just about sinking putts or posting low scores—it was about rallying together for a greater purpose. With every hole played, every swing taken, and every generous donation, we inched closer to our goal. By the end of the day, we had successfully raised over $5,000, which will go directly toward supporting the children and families at Little Light House Central KY.
Brad Pagel and the entire Lexington Blue team are thrilled that the funds raised will help ensure that more children in our community have access to the resources they need to overcome developmental challenges and reach their full potential—without their families having to worry about the financial burden. Whether it’s through individualized therapy, academic support, or the special moments of joy and growth that happen daily at The Little Light House, these donations are directly contributing to miracles in the lives of children.
This event was a shining example of what can be accomplished when a community comes together for a common cause. The team at Lexington Blue is immensely proud to have played a part in organizing this event and to have worked alongside the Louisville Cardinals, whose involvement took the event to the next level. Their willingness to support The Little Light House speaks volumes about their character, and we’re grateful for their partnership in making this day a huge success.
We also want to extend a massive thank you to all the golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and participants who made the John Henry Golf Scramble such a memorable day. Your generosity and enthusiasm have made a lasting impact, and because of you, The Little Light House can continue to provide hope, care, and transformation to children with special needs.
As Brad Pagel reflects on this event, it’s clear that the heart of this community is stronger than ever. We can’t wait for future events where we’ll continue to support the incredible work of The Little Light House and other causes close to our hearts. Together, we are making milestones and miracles happen!
